When Stock Price Falls After Purchase

In a stock market, one cannot predict the market situation at any given moment, or it is very “volatile.” Investors have the aim of making profits in the stock market. However, some investors do not have any idea about the market trends and invest without any research. It is therefore very important for investors to keep up with market trends in order not to end up losing hard earned money. Therefore, the “Golden Rule” is to first do your own analysis of the stock before investing.

An investor should always keep money ready. This allows an investor to split the investment into two parts. The 50% cash can be kept aside, and only the other 50% invested. This helps an investor to buy more of any stock when the price falls with the ready cash. Thus, he/she has fewer questions on why price falls after they buy a stock.

Also, if an investor has suppose 100 shares of any company and the price goes up, he/she should sell only 50% of the stock. This gives them the allowance that if the price further shot up, they still have some shares to sell and earn more profits. An investor thus may sell the share and the price goes up. However, the solution is never to sell all the shares at one time. Selling only 50% of the shares allows an investor to still have 50% to sell and make profit if the price goes up further.

An investor should know when and where to invest in stocks. Proper timing is very important. In order to be abreast with the market trends, an investor should read magazines or watch business news. He/she should make the final decision final about investing in a particular stock.

Money should be invested only in companies that declare their dividends every year to be sure that an investor is not investing in loss-making companies. Also, when a company releases news about a new product line or management change, be it good or bad, its stock prices are affected. It is important for an investor to be sure of a company’s earnings. Mergers and acquisitions also affect companies’ stock prices because they permit companies to move into new markets or to maintain dominance in the current market.

An investor should never buy stock of a company that is constantly downsizing. Thus, an investor needs to have a close watch on the company basics in order not to lose money from an investment.

Analyst reports are another good way to predict the potential price of stocks of a company.

Did Warren Buffet See the Collapse of Banks Coming in 2008?

The markets were growing in 2006 and 2007. A shrewd investor could reduce his exposure by selling a portion of his shares periodically and still grow his assets by letting other stocks run with the bulls on wall street. That could leave him with $5,000,000,000 cash to jump back in with when the opportunity arose.

Making a newsworthy investment like that would help slow the panic and subdue the fears of jittery investors. This would help convince the clients of his investment firm to not jump ship. In fact it would have an impact across the board. It was the correct thing to do at that time as it calmed fears a little. Perhaps it only helped turn panic back into fear but any show of hope and investment savvy was assuring to smaller investors. Mr Buffet’s noteworthy investment was also a wise decision as it would quiet fears of clients of his company, Berkshire Investments.

So if Mr. Buffet did know this crash was coming ahead of time why then didn’t he warn us? The answer is obvious. He couldn’t.

Why couldn’t he? Because if the most esteemed investor in the western hemisphere was to say I’m selling my investments because some banks may go bust soon, couldn’t you just hear people running down the sidewalks to withdraw money and cash in stocks?

No it’s not up to Warren Buffet to look after your investments. That’s your investment adviser’s job.

Warren Buffet did exactly the right thing and he did it at the right time.

So does your adviser just mimic what the super wealthy do? That’s not what she/he should be doing. If they were watching behind the scenes they would have known the crash in 2008 was inevitable. I staked my reputation on it in 2007. My procedure of operation during 2007 and early 2008 was advising my clients they would see at least a 40% or 50% drop in the markets sometime in 2008 or 2009. Each one who was invested with me was contacted several times unless they believed me the first time. They needed to move their money out of equity investments and into interest bearing products. At this point we need a clarification. No matter how sure I am that a shift is needed I never recommend 100% shift. In this case I recommended moving from 50% of their funds to 80% to low risk products.

There isn’t a one size fits all investment program. What works for Warren Buffet isn’t good enough for you unless you also have billions to work with. Every good plan is individual.

One key issue is to watch out for systemic failures. The dot.com fiasco of 2000 and the mortgage melt down of 2008 were both predictable. Both events had some things in common. These things to watch for are rapid or extended growth period in the markets coupled with an abandonment of sound business norms in favour of paper wealth.

The sound business norm in 1999 and 2000 that was tossed aside was price to earnings ratio in evaluating stocks. Investment bankers sold those that would believe them that we no longer needed to use time tested guidelines because in the ‘new economy’ where dot-com companies could grow so fast that we could guess what they might make down the road instead of looking at what they were earning today. The P/E ratios were multiples of sensible norms and well beyond common sense. The disruptive business practice that affected markets in 2008 was lending money without doing due diligence. That was a no brainer, especially when we were warned by reliable media reports that these risky mortgages amounted to trillions of dollars.

Greedy, incompetent CEO’s who sell the public that they are increasing company values to benefit their shareholders, meanwhile reaping extremely huge bonuses in spite of that incompetence is a further factor. When you have these indicators showing up together watch out. Who knows where the next wave of falsified profits may show up? Could it be pharmaceuticals? Flu vaccines? What we need to do is to not worry. Excessive wealth in Dubai or other places around the world could pose problems in the future. Watch your step. If problems arise they will be kept hidden by big business if possible for a few years, the next drop of over 25% should be a few years out. But who knows for sure?

Some Practical Eye Exercises

We can try some dot exercises, which require us to gaze at some dots. First, find some dots on a paper, and then stare at them directly. Some time later, the dots will be on our focuses. At last, we may find that we cannot see these dots clearly.

Then we should relax our eyes by closing them for some while. The next step is to look at these dots leisurely, not to stare. Now, our eyes should scan the paper and the dots for some time. This is because, in this process, our eyes are in need of some movements. Of course, blinks are essential. Subsequently, we can repeat the foregoing process till we can see the dots and paper much clearly.

Word exercise is also very useful. Write a word composed of several alphabets on a piece of paper. Then directly look at the word. After that, remember the image of the words. Like dots exercise, staring at them till we feel some sort of blurriness in our eyes.

Now it is time for us to relax our eyes. We should scan each alphabets of the word slowly with some blinks. In this process, we should not stare. Later, the word will be much cleaner to look at. This process can help us to relax our eye strains very much.

Double vision exercise is also a very useful method. As it name indicates, the exercise requires a lot on the co-work of our eyes. Some people make their eyes suffering from some very serious vision problems for some bad habits. Such as, they always look at something with one eye or look at them from a one-side angle. So, to solve such problems, we should stare at something calmly in the same direction.

These eye exercises can be really helpful for us to improve our vision. So, it is necessary for us to do them as daily habits.

What Color Am I?

Sometimes ferret colors are difficult to define, especially if it is not one of the two natural colors sable or albino.
Colors and patterns vary greatly and each has its own distinguishing characteristics. On the ferret coat you see both colors and pattern, and there is a difference in the two. Often people get these two terms confused, and they both have distinct meanings. The eyes, nose and the color of the coat (undercoat and guard hairs) are what is considered and called the color the “color”. The “pattern” is the distribution and concentration of color on the ferrets coat. Albino and sable are the only true ferret colors.

Selective breeding over the years has produced the mutations in color and pattern. The hair on baby ferrets is all white but as they mature there is a darkening of the guard hairs. Selective breeding has brought about and array of colors and potential ferret owners are eager to own one these colors. There are not any guarantees of ferret colors because they change as the ferret matures, and what you once thought was a sable or albino ferret is becoming possibly a silver, or one of the cinnamon colors or other color variations.

As ferrets mature coat colors change and also the pattern will differ throughout its life. Just because it came out of the box silver doesn’t mean you will end up with silver, you maybe a dark-eyed-white. In certain periods such as changing of season or estrus (Applies to nonhuman mammals: a state or period of heightened sexual arousal and activity) it is normal for the color changes of the coat. A seasonal coat color change is possible, one color in the summer and totally different in the winter.

Your best criteria for choosing the perfect ferret is not by color but based on personality, plus compatibility instead of their appearance. Kit, Hob, V-Hob, Gib, Jill and Sprite are all different classifications of a ferret.

A Hob is a whole male ferret capable of breeding and the Jill is a whole female ferret also capable of going into heat and produce kits. The Sprite is a spayed female, it is unable to go into heat or get pregnant, the Gib is a neutered male, unable to breed and V-Hob is a male that has had a vasectomy can breed but sterile. If you’re a baby ferret and under 1year old your known as a Kit.

The Sneezes That Never Stopped

Mrs Meera Sanjoge, a 42 years old lady, presented with a history of severe sneezing episodes – almost daily, for around 20 days per month, since last 30 years. She was quite stressed due to the severity and the intensity of the attacks. She hardly could go out for picnics or at parties where she would get exposed to strong odors or sun. Any strong odor used to precipitate the attack, leading to a day suffered in unending sneezes that were unable to get under control with any kind of measures. She had tried taking allopathic anti-allergic medication, almost used to take double the usual doses but without any relief. She also tried herbal steam inhalation, but found it making her symptoms worse. She was thus referred to homeopathy.

As told earlier, her symptoms showed strong aggravation after getting exposed to strong odors or perfumes. It also got aggravated in dusty, smoky regions and after getting exposed to cold drafts or sitting under direct fanning. The attacks used to be severe during the day time, especially around the noon. She also mentioned that her thirst got increased during the acute attacks – she felt better by drinking warm water in small quantities, just enough to wet her tongue, but frequently. Occasionally there was a feverish feeling with malaise during the attacks. The attacks were so severe that she almost used to get drained till the evening.

She was asked to do hemogram which reveals a normal level of hemogram but raised eosinophil count, indicating an allergic response. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate [ESR] was normal. She also showed a radiograph of the para-nasal sinuses, which was asked by one of the earlier treating physicians, but it was normal. Thus it was a clear case of allergic rhinitis.

Considering the overall totality, she was prescribed Arsenic album 200 to be taken twice daily for 2 weeks. Her attacks reduced significantly within the first week, and almost since 10th day, she did not get any sneeze in spite of getting exposed to her usual allergens. Now, it’s been almost 4 months since she has taken the last dose of the medicine, but she is completely cured of the ailment that troubled her for 30 long years.

This is the magic of homeopathy.

We Are What We Repeatedly Do

I believe it was Aristotle who commented that excellence is therefore not an act, but a habit. Excellence truly is a habit. Think of anyone who has achieved excellence and seek to discover their habitual actions and you will see that these are indeed habitual. Let’s take the young British diver, Tom Daly, who recently took the gold medal in the world diving championship in Rome. Just imagine the habits which he has ingrained to enable such a feat? If he did not habitually train in a particular manner or think in a habitually focused and positive manner, do you think he could have achieved even half of what he has so far in his young life?

What is a terrible shame is that although the majority of people admire Tom for this, there are some who are just plain jealous. Earlier this year he was forced to change schools due to the amount of bullying he was being subjected to. Apparently although it started with name calling it ended with him being threatened with having his legs broken. Tom’s life would seem to be a lot happier since he moved to his new school and certainly his diving is going from strength to strength.

Those green eyed bullies should remember that the phrase “what goes around comes around” is actually based on the fact that the thought energy which you give out will eventually be returned to you. If you give out positivity, like Tom Daly, you will achieve positive things. If, on the other hand, you were to emit negativity, your own life is what ends up negative. Things which are good and loving and positive do indeed prevail in the end.

Unfortunately there are many negative influences in this world and it is up to us each individually and as a group to protect against these destructive vibes. We can do this in several ways. Like Tom, we can remove ourselves physically from that environment. If this is not possible then we have to use mental tactics or mental skills with which to protect ourselves.

Faith is essential. As a great example of having faith, I read a story the other day about a lady who was pushed into the boot (trunk) of her car and locked in by someone who was intent on theft. She said afterwards that she just had faith that someone would discover her, and because of this she remained calm until she was indeed rescued. Without faith she would have been anxious and panicky and who knows what she might have ended up unintentionally putting herself through because of uncontrolled negative emotions?

I personally use a couple of protective mental skills. Sometimes I imagine that I have a shield which is like a mirror; as I visualize holding it up against the source of negativity it is easy to send those vibes straight back to the sender in duplicate form. Try it; it’s an easy thing to visualize and extremely effective. Another mental skill which comes in handy is to imagine that you are wearing body armor which protects you; this could just be a strong material, or it could once again have a mirrored surface. A friend of mine likes to imagine that she is surrounded by a pink balloon which keeps her warm, bright and cozy, whilst at the same time allowing anything negative to simply bounce off it. There are many variations on this theme and you will find ones which appeal to you and work incredibly well for you too.

I also have to admit that I don’t keep track of world affairs as much as I probably should as I really do not like to hear all of the negative things which happen. As my dad always said “good news rarely makes the headlines”. If only the newspapers. Television and radio had a policy of spending 75% of their time on the reporting of positive, happy and loving things and only allowing 25% to be on negative events, perhaps I’d spend more time keeping abreast of current affairs!

It is certainly well worth getting into the habit of using mental skills and techniques to protect yourself from negativity and to focus upon the good and positive in life. This should become a habit for all of us and then the world would inevitably be a better place. What goes around does indeed come around; we are what we repeatedly do.
